| The Facts |
Infection with Human Immuno Virus brings with it unimaginable PAIN, FEAR and DISCRIMINATION.
An estimated 0.5% of the total Indian population is already infected.
Those suffering from AIDS or are HIV+ve are from all sections of society.
There is an urgent need of special facilities dedicated to cope with and combat the disease, considering the high risk involved.

| The Inspiration |
What better way to commemorate a Jubilee than to do something for the community?
So on the occasion his Silver Jubilee as Bishop of Pune, Rt. Rev. Valerian D'Souza decided to institute a Care Centre for those suffering from the stigma and real agony of living with AIDS.
|
| The Care Givers |
The Sisters of St. Ann have extensive experience in the field of medicine. In Andhra Pradesh they recognised the need to begin separate Care Centres as many patients were diagnosed as HIV+ve in their own hospitals.
The Sisters have undertaken the task of serving the AIDS afflicted and showing them the compassionate love of Jesus, the Divine Healer.
The primary aim of the care givers is to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/ AIDS and to foster hope in every way possible.
